Cooked Radishes with Cheese


Many North Americans think of cucumbers or radishes only in terms of salad; they fail to realise that; texture and flavour wise; there is very little difference. A white turnip is a type of radish.

Boil small pink or red radishes from which the leaves have been removed. Drain, and cook in a saucepan with butter and grated cheese until the cheese is melted.
