Macaroni with Beef and Green Peppers



1lb. ground beef
1 cup diced green pepper
1/3 cup diced onion
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
½ cup dry white wine or beef broth
28 ozs. caned tomatoes
¼ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper
16 ozs. Maccaroncelli, (long macaroni)
In a large saucepan, sauté, beef, green pepper and onion in oil. Stir frequently until meat is browned.
Add wine and simmer 10 minutes. Add tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer40- 45 minutes. Prepare Maccaroncelli in usual manner and drain well Pour prepared sauce over cooked macaroni in serving dish.
