Left-over cooked rice can be steamed to reheat it before use. Simply place the rice, with a small amount of liquid, in a saucepan with a closely fitting lid, bring the water to a boil, reduce heat to a minimum, and let the rice sit for ten to fifteen minutes or until steamed through. This process can also be done in a microwave oven, which is quicker.
